The “Momentum for Europe – Innovation and Competitiveness” was organized by the European Investment Bank Group. Mr. Rifkin provided the keynote address following remarks by President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, and the President of the European Investment Bank, Werner Hoyer. Four hundred CEOs and senior executives of the financial sector of the European Union, and government officials attended the summit.

McCann Worldgroup, a leading global marketing firm, invited Jeremy Rifkin to be the Keynote Speaker to kick off the “Truth About Global Brands Summit,” an event hosted at Bloomberg media in New York. The audience was an “Invite Only” group of marketing leaders from companies including Coca-Cola, General Mills, General Motors, L’Oréal, MasterCard, Microsoft, Nestlé and Reckitt Benckiser among others. Mr. Rifkin delivered an opening speech on the new business models, product lines, and services that will accompany the Internet of Things and the transformation to a zero marginal cost sharing economy.

IV Congress of the Future – The 4th Congress of the Future gathers a large number of Nobel Prize winners and world-leading scientists and humanists. It is the main academic and political event organized by the Senate of Chile, the Government of Chile, the Chilean Academy of Sciences, private companies, local media, and civil society. Mr. Rifkin gave the keynote address following remarks by Michelle Bachelet, the President of Chile, and Isabel Allende, the President of the Senate of Chile. Immediately following his address, Mr. Rifkin engaged in a 2-hour dialogue with President Bachelet and her senior ministers on transitioning the Americas into a zero marginal cost society and Third Industrial Revolution.
